Is Chris Hemsworth perhaps taking this whole Thor thing a bit too literally? In a post to his Instagram on Tuesday, the on-screen superhero revealed that production has wrapped on the much anticipated fourth installment of the franchise titled, “Thor: Love and Thunder.”
The film is co-written and directed by Taika Waititi, who previously directed the acclaimed third installment, “Thor Ragnarok.” Waititi is also reprising his role of Korg in the film.
In the production wrap photo, Hemsworth is posing alongside Waititi, who is geared up in his Korg motion capture suit. Meanwhile, Hemsworth is sporting a couple of nukes for arms. He’s supposedly honoring National Don’t Flex Day–which nobody knew was a thing.
Is it “don’t flex” as in don’t flex your muscles, or don’t flex your life? Either way Hemsworth isn’t doing it right. His arms looked to be perma-flexed, and when it comes to his life, he’s the closest thing to a real-life Thor on planet Earth.
“That’s a wrap on Thor Love and Thunder, it’s also national don’t flex day so I thought this super relaxed photo was appropriate. The film is gonna be bat$#!t crazy off the wall funny and might also pull a heart string or two. Lots of love, lots of thunder! Thank you to all the cast and crew who made this another incredible Marvel journey. Buckle in, get ready and see ya in cinemas!!” Hemsworth wrote in the caption.
In addition to Hemsworth, “Thor: Love and Thunder” stars Karen Gillan, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Matt Damon, Russell Crowe, Melissa McCarthy, Sam Neill, Sean Gunn, Jaimie Alexander and Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher.
“Thor: Love and Thunder” is set for theatrical release on May 6, 2022.
