Introducing self-proclaimed bookworm and entertainingly enthusiastic cosplayer Elyza Jean (@biblio_ginger) as John Candy alongside her friend as Steve Martin from the classic “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” poster.

Longtime fans of the site know that Metaflix has two patron saints: Roger Ebert and John Hughes. Ebert is the greatest film critic to have ever lived and while it’d be silly of me to call Hughes the best director of all time, nobody occupied his niche of adolescent comedies better than him.

For a bit of proof, check out this incredible post titled “Roger Ebert’s Thoughts on ‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles,’ the Ultimate Thanksgiving Movie” by clicking on the related link below.

As for Elyza Jean, you can imagine my jaw-dropping ecstasy upon seeing this incredible cosplay. While everyone else is seemingly doing Leeloo, Wonder Woman, or Joker, this is the first I’ve ever seen a “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” cosplay and it absolutely made my day.
