If nothing else, Metaflix is passionate about movies, so naturally we’re down with anybody else who shares that passion too. Indeed, just imagine my excitement when I came across this video of a superfan (and possible certified nutjob!) who dared to do the unthinkable: go on a crazy cross-country adventure re-tracing the footsteps of Forrest Gump.
Per Adamthewoo’s description:
“My goal was to hunt down the filming locations from the 1994 film ‘Forrest Gump’ starring Tom Hanks. This consisted of traveling cross country to Georgia, South Carolina , Washington DC , Arizona, Utah and California . All in all I’d say it was a success. Thanks for running with me.”
Unbelievable. “Forrest Gump” is one of the greatest journey movies of all time—both historically and geographically—and I personally couldn’t be prouder of Adam for actually doing it in real life, all while capturing his incredible journey along the way.
With a 35 minute runtime, the video is a little longer than our usual features, but so very worth it. Accordingly, please embark on a (much briefer) journey of your own, or at the very least feel free to jump in and click around to spot your favorite scenes and shooting locations.
