Olivia Wilde’s newest film “Don’t Worry Darling” is officially in post-production. The script was written by Katie Silberman (“Booksmart“) and is executive produced by Catherine Hardwicke (“Twilight”). It stars Harry Styles and Florence Pugh, among others, in a 1950’s era psychological thriller. Photos of Pugh driving on set were leaked on Twitter and I think we can all admit they’re pretty awesome.

Olivia Wilde’s decision to step behind the camera has proved to be a good one. The longtime actor made waves with her debut feature, “Booksmart” starring Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein. Now, she’s back with “Don’t Worry Darling” and collaborating once more with screenwriter Katie Silberman. Fans of Wilde and “Booksmart” are excited, to say the least.

However, the insurmountable hype around “Don’t Worry Darling” could be a product of its two leads. Florence Pugh and Harry Styles are Internet icons, and starring opposite each other in a marriage thriller might set the film Twitter world on fire. Combine that with Wilde and Captain Chris Pine in supporting roles, and “Don’t Worry Darling” is up there with “Dune” and “The French Dispatch” with best ensembles of 2021.

It’s still unclear when “Don’t Worry Darling” will hit theaters. My guess is late 2021, especially if Wilde is vying for an Oscar run. Be on the look out for a trailer in the upcoming months.
