In this wonderfully composed episode of The Director’s Chair, Studio Binder combines Martin Scorsese interviews with clips from his films, proving us with our very own masterclass of techniques derived from decades of his phenomenal filmmaking.
Scorsese explains his unique directing style as we get to see how he goes about making movies with no need for film analysis, video essays, or filmmaking theory—but rather from his own experiences.
What’s next for the legendary director? Marty has a handful of titles in pre-production, including “Killers of the Flower Moon,” the drama about the Osage tribe murders in the 1920s.

Scorsese is looking to begin filming in March of 2021 with Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro in tow. As recently as a week ago, there was a virtual casting call for the film.
