Introducing Camille Kostek, AKA Bombshell from ‘Free Guy’

I watched “Free Guy” last night and got bonked so hard for crushing on the stunningly beautiful character of Bombshell that now I don’t remember anything else about the movie except her.

The starring role of “Free Guy” features … I’m not sure. I want to say that guy from the gin commercials who plays a drunk pilot? And it’s about him playing video games. Or something like that.

Anyway, doesn’t matter. The only thing someone who gets a tingly feeling in their bathing suit regions (that’s a Liz Lemon “30 Rock” reference, btw) when looking at one of the most beautiful women on the planet should care about is that “Free Guy” features a whole lot of this Bombshell character, whom I later learned is played by model and actress Camille Kostek.

Obviously there are going to be plenty of folks out there who consider Kostek to be a household name, but for people like me who don’t have the entire Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model roster memorized, she hasn’t been in enough films to garner instant recognition.

To date, Kostek has been in a couple of TV movies, she played a hostess in the 2018 Amy Schumer movie “I Feel Pretty,” and she serves as a sideline reporter of sorts for the TV show “Wipeout.” That’s pretty much it.

Therefore, “Free Guy” represents a MASSIVE leap forward in her acting career. And now that she’s part of the 20th Century Studios / Marvel / Disney family, there’s no telling how far her career on the silver screen may go.

Admittedly, after drinking too many IPAs at my local Alamo Drafthouse, I tried to Beetlejuice her presence by invoking “Kostek, Kostek, Kostek!” but to no avail. Guess I’ll just have to settle for hopefully seeing more of her in major movie roles in the years to come.

For Kostek’s next role, she’s starring in the Tom DeLonge film “Monsters of California,” which is currently in post-production.
