The 91st Annual Academy Award Nominations

The official nominations for the 91st annual Academy Awards are in!

Oscar nominee Kumail Nanjiani and Emmy nominee Tracee Ellis Ross announced this year’s nominees at a live press conference in Hollywood this morning.

2018 proved to be a strong year with both critics and fans alike. According to comScore, North American ticket sales reached $11.85 billion. Worldwide box receipts totaled $41.65 billion. Those figures are the highest ever registered, translating to percentage increases of 6.6% in North America and 2.65% worldwide, respectively, over last year. The domestic number tops 2016’s previous record of $11.383 billion.
