The Complete Saga of Harmony Korine on Letterman (and Why He Got Banned for Life)

The Complete Saga of Harmony Korine on Letterman (and Why He Got Banned for Life)

Harmony Korine is a madman, which, when it comes to filmmakers, can sometimes be a good thing! Think John Milius, for example.

Korine first came to our attention a handful of years ago after watching the 1995 movie ‘Kids,’ an exceptionally raw look at a day-in-the-life of New York City street kids. From there, we went down the rabbit hole to learn everything we could about Korine and that included watching his three appearances on Letterman, which were absolutely bonkers.

Since Korine has a new film coming out in a couple weeks—’The Beach Bum’ starring Matthew McConaughey—we decided to spread the gospel by putting them all together in a neat little package and presenting them to you for your own viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

Harmony Korine marches to the beat of his own drum. Famous for writing the film 'Kids,' later writing & directing the films 'Gummo,' 'Spring Breakers,' and 'The Beach Bum,' Korine also gained infamy for his three oddball appearances on Letterman, which are presented here in full.
