Brilliant Marketing for Jordan Peele’s ‘Us’
Jordan Peele’s ‘Us,’ the follow-up to his breakout debut ‘Get Out,’ drops this Friday and needless to say his marketing team has risen to the filmmaker’s standard of excellence.
The trailer for the new movie is clean, compelling, a little bit creepy, and even has an Easter egg or two, striking just the right tone for the upcoming film.
But this brilliant theater piece is on a whole other level! In an earlier post that contained an interview with Christopher Nolan, the director mentioned his love of movies partly because of the theater experience and the sense of wonderment that the physical setting provided. So even though this theater piece is simply a bit of advertising for the film, it’s still fun to see, interesting to look at, and adds to the movie-going experience above and beyond just another dank and dimly lit hallway.
