Set Photo of a Model Train and DeLorean from 'Back to the Future 3'
Behind the scenes photos of practical sets, effects, and models are hands-down among the most interesting parts of the film business.
There’s an entire cadre of people behind the scenes—and often months ahead of when the cameras will actually roll—working endless hours creating everything that we’ll eventually see on the silver screen.
In this case, just look at that scaled down train and DeLorean! It’s not like one can just buy a model kit and slap them together in a few days. They’re hand-built from scratch!
Also, at this scale, does this mean the DeLorean only has to go 22 miles per hour and generate just .3025 gigawatts of power to time travel?
