Christopher Nolan's 'Tenet' to be One of the Most Expensive Original Films of All Time
One of Hollywood’s biggest filmmakers requires one of Hollywood’s biggest budgets.
‘Tenet’, Christopher Nolan’s next film, is reported to cost $225 million, the third-highest budget for an original film of all time behind Disney’s ‘Tangled’ ($260m) and James Cameron's ‘Avatar’ ($237m).
The movie is currently shooting action sequences in Estonia and is being described as a "massive, innovative, action blockbuster."
‘Tenet’ stars Robert Pattinson, John David Washington, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor Johnson and, of course, Michael Caine. The film will see Nolan reunite with his longtime cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema, with scoring duties going to Black Panther Oscar-winner Ludwig Göransson as opposed to his frequent collaborator Hans Zimmer.
‘Tenet’ is scheduled to be released in theaters July 2020.
