Regal Cinemas Rolling Out Movie Ticket Subscription Program
Sources have confirmed to Deadline that Regal’s new unlimited movie ticket subscription service is prepping to launch by the end of July.
There will reportedly be three tiers of pricing: $18, $21 and $24 per month, each granting access to unlimited tickets, which is a departure from other similar programs that limit customers to one ticket per day. The difference in pricing applies to different tiers of theaters, unlike the AMC Stubs A-List subscription service which varies by state. Those purchasing a top-priced tier will have access to any Regal Cinema, while the lowest tier gets access to about half of the chain’s national footprint. Patrons in New York and California, for example, will be more reliant on the higher tiers for access. Those who have a subscription to a low tier and go to an out-of-network Regal in a higher tier will simply pay a nominal surcharge per ticket.
Also, there’s rumors that Regal Unlimited subscribers will have to purchase an entire year in advance for the subscription program, hence the tier prices respectively would be $288, $252 and $216.
