The Problem Solving of Filmmaking
Time for a little perspective, fellow YouTubers.
We love this commentary video by David F. Sandberg, director of ‘Shazam!’, about the amount of problem solving that goes into filmmaking. It’s easy to Monday-morning quarterback a film, tearing to shreds any plot holes, logical fallacies, or continuity errors that may exist throughout the final product. But producers, directors, actors, and everyone else on set have real-world problems to solve.
And if you’re familiar with Murphy’s Law, you know that anything and everything CAN go wrong, from the weather not cooperating, to injuries, to child actor laws dictating the shooting schedule.
