A new series of behind the scenes photos from the set of Andy Muschietti’s “The Flash” has given fans their first glimpse at Michael Keaton reprising his role of Bruce Wayne.
Also on set are Ezra Miller (Barry Allen / The Flash) and Sasha Calle (Supergirl). Miller–returning for his fourth DCEU outing–is wearing a suit as his Barry Allen character and is notably sporting a large gold ring that is speculated to contain his Flash costume, which jives with how the accessory is handled in the comics. Calle, meanwhile, is seen rocking the Supergirl outfit.
As for Keaton, arguably the most beloved actor to ever don the cape and cowl, he’s looking primp and proper as Bruce Wayne. The actor last took on the role nearly 30 years ago in Tim Burton’s 1992 flick “Batman Returns.”
To date, there haven’t been any indications whether or not Keaton will continue to portray Bruce Wayne / Batman beyond the current “Flash” installment. However, there has been speculation that he will indeed become a future mainstay of the DCEU.
Photos that emerged earlier in production have given confirmation that the Flashpoint-inspired film will be returning Wayne Manor. In early June, Muschietti also teased the new Batman suit featuring blood spattering.
Following years of creative turmoil and production delays, “The Flash” is scheduled to hit theaters November 4, 2022.
