Mon Dieu! Timeless beauty!

Brigitte Bardot is one of the best known movie starlets and sex symbols of the 1950s and 1960s. She remains a pop culture icon to this day.

Bardot was born and raised in Paris, growing up as an aspiring ballerina. She started acting in 1952 but didn’t receive international recognition until her role in 1957’s “And God Created Woman,” so the above photo enticingly captures an emerging star.

Bardot retired from the entertainment industry in 1973 and has since become an internationally-recognized animal rights activist. If you ever watch Whale Wars, you’ll recall they have a boat commissioned by her. Oh, and she’s active on Twitter too. Check her out!
