Just days away from the highly anticipated FanDome event being hosted by DC Comics on Aug. 22, filmmaker Matt Reeves has revealed ‘The Batman‘ logo and a new piece of concept art created by renowned comic book artist Jim Lee.

Both images feature the striking red and black color palette that have been utilized for prior concept photos, such as the ones showing star Robert Pattinson in the new Batsuit or those of him in front of the new Batmobile.

While the lettering and font of the new Batman logo is rather straightforward, the embedded imagery of the flying bat has a more distinct, rough-sketch sort of Ralph Steadman vibe.

Similarly, the concept art by Jim Lee also resembles more of a free hand rendition of the Caped Crusader. It notably reveals additional details about the Batsuit that prior, darker and also grainier photos of Pattinson wearing the getup are hard to see. The additional contouring around the neck and shoulders, along with additional armoring and weaponry around the forearms is rather apparent.

The DC FanDome event is described as “the first-of-its-kind virtual experience for DC superfans globally.” It was originally conceived as a one day bonanza bash celebrating the world of DC Comics. However, DC and Warner Bros. have since split the event into two parts.

“The eight-hour DC FanDome: Hall of Heroes show on Saturday, August 22, followed three weeks later by DC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse, a 24-hour, on-demand experience accessed via the DCFanDome.com program scheduler on Saturday, September 12.”

The fact that Reeves stated in the tweet that fans will ” … see more of ‘The Batman’ at the DC FanDome global event … ” all but assures that footage of the upcoming film will be presented. It was just announced on Wednesday that ‘The Batman’ is set to resume filming in the U.K. in early September. It is expected to take a few months to finish production.
