Yesterday the cast of the MCU’s Spider-Man pranked the entire internet. The film series’ three stars all posted different titles for the upcoming Spidey film. Tom Holland announced that “Spider-Man: Phone Home” will be the title. However, Zendaya announced it would be “Spider-Man: Home Slice.” Meanwhile, Jacob Balaton‘s Instagram revealed the title as “Spider-Man: Home Wrecker.”
So, which one was it?
None of them. Today, official social media accounts for the film confirmed a different title: “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
The confirming tweet comes with a hilarious skit featuring the film’s three leads. Tom Holland exits directer Jon Watts’ office before telling Zendaya and Balaton he’s been given another fake title. This is no surprise to Zendaya and Balaton. As Holland famously spoiled the title of “Spider-Man: Far From Home.”
However, as the trio walk off screen the camera pushes in to a white board full of spec titles. Written stylistically in the center is “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
Fans also pointed out a fun easter egg about Holland’s shirt.
The skit concludes by revealing a release date.”Spider-Man: No Way Home” will exclusively release in theaters this Christmas.
