‘Taking Care of Business’ Trailer Reveals Austin Butler as Elvis

Taking Care of Business Austin Butler
Glen Francis

“Taking Care of Business” is the upcoming biopic directed by Baz Luhrman. The recently released teaser trailer gives us a sneak peek into the iconic musician’s backstory.

“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’s” Austin Butler will star as Elvis Presley, with Tom Hanks co-starring as Elvis Presley’s manager Tom Parker.

The actor already impresses by capturing the character’s physicality. It looks like Butler has already nailed the king’s effortlessly cool demeanor. The short teaser does reveal some of the artist’s most iconic looks, without Butler ever turning around.

A younger portrayal of Elvis captures him in his heyday and the logo for his band. Luhrmann shows he’s not shying away from his usual glitz and glam, as the trailer has a dream-like filter that transports us back to ’68.

The film was scheduled for release this October, much like the anticipated “The Batman.” But, due to scheduling and COVID, the film was pushed to a 2022 release date. Let the superhero movies dominate this year, “Taking Care of Business” should put the groove back into our step in 2022.
