‘Ambulance’ Trailer: Jake Gyllenhaal Switches Sides in LA

Universal Pictures

The latest production by Michael Bay, “Ambulance” released its first official trailer Thursday.

With the success of the Netflix thriller “The Guilty,” which also stars Jake Gyllenhaal, fans might be inclined to skip this flick. However, it promises to pack a punch as Gyllenhaal drags his adoptive brother (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) into his scheme.

The trailer is full of action, as is Bay’s specialty. Complete with car chases, shoot-outs, and taking an ambulance hostage. The brothers seem to have one wild ride, all in the name of being “desperate for cash.”

The oversaturated director seems to have a good handle on the story, as the trailer promises we won’t be too nauseous from motion sickness in this film. Of course, Gyllenhaal is getting right back in the swing of things, playing more of the brute between the two brothers.

Eiza Gonzalez will also star in the film as the EMT driver. She operates the ambulance that the brothers, Will and Danny, hijack.

In a high-speed pursuit with massive stakes, this is one I can actually say I’m excited to see play out. “Ambulance” will release in theaters February 18, 2022.
