We Have Our First Look At The Timeline Bending ‘Flash’ Film

The DCEU is a bit more of an idea than a thing right now. Word on the street is that this new “Flash” movie will be like a soft reboot to the entire canon. Whether or not that’s the case, one thing is for certain, we’re in for one wild ride.

DC Fandome has kicked off and given fans lots of content to obsess over in the past few days. One of which, was a short teaser of the new Flash movie coming later next year. It was supposed to be brief and light on details, but that didn’t stop them from showing a lot. It turns out “The Batman” is not the only film we can expect the caped crusader to appear in. As we can see from this new “Flash” teaser, we’ll be getting a return to the character by none other than the OG himself, Michael Keaton.

The film’s synopsis reads, “Barry Allen travels back in time to prevent his mother’s murder, which brings unintended consequences to his timeline.” The first “Flash” film is going to be based on the Flashpoint storyline in the comics. How much of the seminal event series centered around the Flash will be adapted remains to be seen.

From the looks of it, we’ll be getting Reverse-Flash, Professor Zoom, or whatever the evil version of Flash calls himself these days as the antagonist. Also, we’ll be getting not one, but two, Batmen like in the Flashpoint comics. Michael Keaton seems to be the one they want to draw attention to in the marketing, but let us not forget that Batffleck makes his grand return in this film as well. No matter what, this film is sure to be firing on all cylinders and looks to be Warner Bros best attempt to clean up the mess that is the DCEU. If they can pull it off, then we might finally have two cinematic superhero universes trying to one up each other. This would be entertainment arms race that we’d all benefit from.
